I think Bleach Black's Valerie put it best when describing this awesome bondage dress by Kimberly Ovitz: business in the front, party in the back.

made for walking

Due to the fact that downtown Halifax consists mainly of hills (so annoying when you wear heels 24/7), I've been relentlessly searching for a fall boot made for walking up and down said hills with ease all the while being chic, comfortable and in my price-range.
FOUND: Strategia Nubuck lace-up low boot
They remind me a teeny bit of Timberlands but much more refined. Now I just have to wait very impatiently for Luisaviaroma to get them in my size.

Kate for Yves Saint Laurent's new fragrance, Parisienne. What do we think??

Last week, Beth tagged me for an 'Awesome Girl' blogger award. Thank you Beth, so sweet! Now I'm supposed to list 10 random things about myself and tag 10 other bloggers. I'm just going to tag whoever wants to do it :)
1. New York is probably my most favorite city, I go there every chance I get
2. I am far too lazy to use nail-polish remover on my toes and just let the polish chip its way off
3. I've seen Home Alone more times than any normal person should
4. I'm addicted to oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough
5. I love true-crime shows like The First 48, Crime 360, American Justice and Cold Case Files
6. I don't drive. Being behind the wheel of a car completely freaks me out
7. I used to "design" clothes when I was a kid and my parents have kept all my drawings
8. I am obsessed with names. I love coming up with names for no apparent reason at all...my friends even bought me a baby names book for my 12th birthday
9. I always have to check three times to see if a door is locked (mild ocd)
10. This is very unfashion-y of me, but the first thing I do when I get home is put on my sweatpants. Heaven.

sweepin' the clouds away

Diane von Furstenburg and Big Bird

Vera Wang and Abby Cadabby (why do I not remember this character??)

Derek Lam and Thakoon Panichgul with Bert & Ernie!

Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa and Grover!

Carolina Herrera and Elmo (my fave)

Rodarte's Laura and Kate Mulleavy with Cookie Monster!!

Oscar and Oscar..ha!

I know what you're thinking...Miss Piggy and now Sesame Street? Yeah but its the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street! It used to be one of my favorite shows to watch when I was a kid. I was really happy to see this in Harper's Bazaar's September issue because I've found their editorials of the last few issues to be dull and uninspired. This one is by no means spectacular but it reminds you that fashion is supposed to be fun, playful and not taken seriously.

Way too adorbs not to post. Miss Piggy is wearing a Marc Jacobs gown (yeah I know). And if you squint, you can see some looks from MJ's s/s '10 collection!
