My top 3 of the night: Gwyneth killing it in Tom Ford, Michelle demure and ladylike in Louis Vuitton and Jessica in exquisite Alexander McQueen.
Honorable mentions to Stacy Keibler in Marchesa and Shailene Woodley in Valentino Couture.
"For her third collection at the house, Joanna Sykes was particularly taken with Aquascutum's 'Dressing the Powerful.' That used to mean kings, generals, politicians, but what Sykes had in mind was, she said, 'a Tarantino woman, dark, provocative, dangerous.' ...Where the danger lay with this woman was anyone's guess, but maybe Sykes meant that the whimsy she initially brought to Aquascutum has been shelved in favor of a sleek, sexy hard edge. Any woman willing to don the low-slung pants with the cutout top is guaranteed to kick ass." - Tim Blanks
This is one of my favorite Unique collections in several seasons. Loving the utilitarian theme with plentiful military touches (a great khaki officer's coat) and even a nod to tradesmen; a bibbed leather frock reminiscent of those worn by blacksmiths and a maxi shirtdress similar to factory coveralls. Oversized outerwear was also a common theme throughout. Also really loving the footwear that came in the form of "thick-soled, spike-heeled 'army' boots" in a vast array of cuts.
