A beautifully shot spread of Karen Elson and Jack White by Annie Leibovitz. Each photo is so rich, dreamy and cinematic and the clothes are perfectly styled by Grace Coddington*. The written piece is mostly about Karen and her first album The Ghost Who Walks (which I'm excited to listen to) and the creative processes leading up to it.

*I watched The September Issue yesterday for the second time..Grace is amazing, she steals every scene she's in.

Daria is totally channeling Ali McGraw here. I love the high-waisted trousers, the wide-leg and flared pants and the updated 70's-inspired styling. Plus, Daria's hair is exactly how I want mine... now all I need to do is let it grow another 12 inches.

Vogue on the Champs

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'm seriously loving this you guys!!

For the month of October, an open air exhibition will be held at the Champs Elysées, featuring 90 years of Vogue covers. You’ll be able to see the work by prominent photographers such as Salvador Dali, Joan Miró, Helmut Newton, Andy Warhol, and many more. A book is also being specially published for the event.

Hollywood!

I came across this beyond amazing editorial from Vogue Italia in 2005 on basement clothes and it seriously made my day. I love Meisel's paparazzo-style shots of the "celebs" in the everyday. The commentary of overexposed, boring Hollywood celebritrash is definitely still relevant. The styling is so perfect and the models are rocking it..I see a little of Britney, Lindsay and Paris in the clothes. There are Uggs a-plenty and I'm pretty sure I see a Von Dutch hat in there, too.

wild at heart

Linda, Cindy, Helena, Naomi, Claudia, Tatjana and Karen sporting classic biker chick looks complete with plenty of black leather moto jackets, gold chain link bling, and studs and buckle accents. I hear that Vogue might try to re-create the shoot with new models for an upcoming issue. I'm not sure that they can duplicate this..its too classic.

Wonderland

Natalia Vodianova is superb in December 2003 Vogue Alice in Wonderland themed editorial... she portrays girlish innocence perfectly. I love the idea of the different variations of Alice's blue dress by the designers featured. Naturally, Annie Liebowitz's photography is outstanding.
