the model as muse

So I'm less than thrilled that I'll be missing out on the Costume Institute's much-anticipated exhibit: "The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion" (May 6 - August 9) at the Met. I suppose the next best thing (outside of booking another trip to NYC, which, after all the shopping I plan on doing will be virtually impossible) would be to purchase the May '09 issue of Vogue which is devoted entirely to (naturally), models. You can also find the story Inspiring Beauty, which has Hamish Bowles following Marc Jacobs who waxes philosophic on models and how he is inspired by them. MJ is also the principal driving financial force behind the Model as Muse exhibit.
