Chanel
If there was ever a couture collection designed with the fabulous Daphne Guinness in mind, this is it. There were ruffle-neck blouses, suit-tails, gorgeous trains all done in luxe fabrics and with impeccable craftmanship. I loved the sheer, raw-edge beaded cloches that covered the models' faces and the gorgeous lace fingerless gloves.
Givenchy
Middle-Eastern and Moroccan references were sprinkled throughout this couture collection. I normally don't like velvet but I love how Riccardo Tisci uses it in the draped pantsuits and skirtsuits punctuated with veil-like hoods. There is definitely an air of Arabian nights mystery in the clothes.

I love Galliano's "half-dressed" ensembles. The lingerie-inspired pieces and garters are so chic. The intimate setting has a very 1930's Paris feel to it.
