For the s/s '10 collection, the familiar Lanvin tailoring was there, the structured oversize ruffle, and the intricate pleating and draping in gorgeous cocktail dresses and jumpsuits. Alber Elbaz's s/s '10 collection for Lanvin was striking and memorable. The huge space where the collection was shown allowed the clothes to really be the focal point, a concept which often gets lost in artistic runway presentation. Elbaz definitely has a gift in creating poignantly feminine clothes that command attention without being vulgar; even the models seemed to exude more confidence in them which, when you think about it, is seemingly impossible.

Love the plays on drapings but I would argue that there's not much variety among the models. I'd like to see each model bring something different to each unique peice but instead Their expressions and looks feel monotonous to me which begins to bleed into the color scheme. The textures and hair styles are fantastic though
Lanvin is life, it is more in fashion than ever...

The colors! The draping! This is fantastic. I love the shoes as well. I completely agree with you, the clothing is the focal point. Elbaz has amazing sensibility.
