j. crew spring 2011

Jenna Lyons is still killing it as J. Crew's creative director. She has an amazing ability to mix day and night pieces and make them look fresh- like the sequined maxi skirt paired with a chambray button-up shirt. Like a spring collection should be, this entire collection feels fresh. All pieces perfect for mix and match styling. My favorite look is the slightly louche nude linen button-up worn with the slouchy trouser. Its so modern-classic and un-trendy, just a few of the reasons why I love J. Crew.

LOVE J Crew. Not only is Jenna amazing, but they've got some seriously fantastic stylists too. "Modern-classic and un-trendy"- just the reason why i love it too :)

hey! omg J CREW has totally stepped it up. The store's always been a fave but lately, under Lyons, it's amazing!

re: the table- it's actually a table that my dad re-furbished that was my late grand-father's. The chairs aren't mine-- they're my friend Mel's and i agree, they look amazing with the wooden table. They're the Tobias chairs from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/20115038

the ones i actually ordered from Restoration Hardware look something more like this: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/30125923

The styling here is fantastic, and you're absolutely right, though there pieces we've come to know she's mixed and put them together in the most wonderfully fresh modern ways
