Loving the artisanal turn Christopher Bailey took for Burberry Prorsum spring 2012. There was crochet, prints, beading and weaving a-plenty. One amazing parka featured intricately-woven leather sleeves. The trench wasn't as present in this collection like in spring 2011; my fave was cropped and worn over a high-waisted pencil skirt. There's also an African tribal influence happening with boldly-patterned dresses and skirts wrapped and ruched to create the look of a sarong. Looks were finished with colorful raffia wedges; some buckled, some beaded and some cinched at the ankle.
