DKNY's spring 2012 collection was poignantly shown on the tenth anniversary of 9/11. Models walked in off the street against the backdrop of an NYC cab emblazoned with a DKNY logo. As in many of this season's collections, the clothes were American sportswear: breezy silk slipdresses cut at the bias, (also a nod to the current '90s trend); anoraks, and awesome dual-hued wedges with an ankle strap. It was also clear that a floppy hat is the headgear du jour as each model sported one with colors matched to their outfits. Palette ranged from white and navy colorblocking to a vibrant poppy red and cobalt blue floral print, to nude.
