chloé resort 2015

Beautiful fluidity, especially in the long wrap skirts. Soft volume was a constant, seen in the slouchy tops, jackets and a long duster coat with exaggerated lapels that would just be amazing to wear in the last days of summer and early fall. Also dying over the strappy wedges.

Love this collection... even the neoprene used throughout (and I'm someone who believes that said material should be used solely in the fabrication of wetsuits). The many variations on the wide-leg trouser, from high-waisted pant, to culotte to cropped, were all perfection and gave a certain ease of wear. Volume was also in the coats and vests, even the dresses. Footwear was a highlight for me, especially the neoprene-detailed slides, some with a gold ankle fastener "modeled on the cuffs that tether surfers to their boards". Geniusity.

chloé pre-fall 2012

Claire Waight Keller "spoke of catching the moment when the sixties, with its prints and graphicism, shaded into the lounge-y, flowy seventies- classic Chloé, in other words...". I'm not a fan of sixties attire at all really, but I love how Waight Keller elegantly captured the shift into the seventies, easily one of my favorite fashion decades.

chloé resort 2012

Super feminine and masculine pieces characterized Chloé's 2012 resort collection including an airy floral frock, slouchy trousers, and a pantsuit in a bold coral hue. Love.
