team philo / team margiela
I first spotted the team Philo tee by NYC-based les plus dorés on Jayne and I instantly knew I had to have one. I ended up choosing the Margiela tee bc I knew the Philo tee would be über popular... although I considered getting both :P. Get yours here.

beach walk
Inspired by the Corsican beach of Calvi in 1972, Replica Beach Walk by Maison Martin Margiela is "fresh as the spray of the ocean, bergamot, lemon and pink pepper are instantly fused. Radiant and sensual ylang ylang follows, illuminating the addictive scents of coconut milk, musk and heliotrope. Unctuous odours that reveal just a hint of saltiness."
This is a scent that basically epitomizes summer and I'm thinking I need to try it.

maison martin margiela resort 2012
This is a maximalist collection in every sense of the word: oversized blazers, jackets and vests, maxi skirts and billowy wide-leg pants- most of which were sheer, so major! Even the accessories were large scale including the clutches and the round '70s-esque sunnies. Cool silk viscose fringe was used in the form of pseudo foxtails clipped to zippers, some even hanging from jacket lapels. These clothes lacked the conceptual elements that seasonal Margiela collections possess, which is not to say a terrible thing since resort collections are almost purely for sales. What the clothes did possess is wearability, which, can be a rare trait.

margiela wedges
I'm obsessed with these insane Margiela wedges (on Lulu and Christine). Here's a black pair in a size 9 at yoox (on sale!). Lately I seem to gravitate towards shoes that are either super high (like these) or flats. No happy medium or in-between for me.

Even though its not sold any longer (sad face) I still think this cuff by Martin Margiela (who else?) is one of the most ingenious pieces of jewelry ever.
