For their fall 2012 collection, Domenico and Stefano tapped into the baroque religious traditions of Domenico's native Sicily, a persisting beacon of inspiration for the duo. The religious aspect was, of course, not to be taken literally given the sheerness of many a frock; something that would undoubtedly be frowned upon by devout Siciliani. Garments were rife with delicate lace, intricate gold thread embroidery and colorful needlepoint florals. Silhouettes weren't as typically bodyhugging which was a refreshing change for Dolce & Gabbana.
