For a well-lived life
What would Valentine's Day be without lingerie? I know I talked about clichéd, boring Valentine's gifts yesterday and I guess lingerie could fall under that category... but this lingerie is anything but cliché and far from boring.
Kiki de Montparnasse is probably the sexiest, most provocative-yet-stylish lingerie line I've ever laid eyes on. These are pieces designed for wear not only in the boudoir, but also in public, depending on how daring and inventive you are with your ensembles. (For instance, pairing the caftan de nuit with vintage light-wash Levi's 501's cuffed at the ankle (which I am so coveting right now) and sky-high platform shoe boots like these beauties by Alexander McQueen. Or, throw on a plain white tank with the Lux lounge pant for easy sophistication.)
The luxury fashion and lifestyle brand was "established with the conviction that sensual pleasure and fulfillment are paramount to a well-lived life, our collections define a new category which empowers exploration of fantasy and communication of desire. We believe intimacy should be honored, and that discriminating consumers should be able to explore and express their passion with grace, sophistication and abandon."

Heart-shaped box
Flowers and chocolate are clichéd Valentine's gifts. They're plain boring. If you're sick of receiving flowers that die and chocolates that ruin your "Get slim in '09" New Year's resolution, why not email your Valentine a wish-list? Here's some amazing V-Day booty I found:

Sweet nothings
If you haven't been to Susie's Shortbreads (1589 Dresden Row, Halifax, http://www.susiesshortbreads.com/) in Halifax yet, you don't know what you're missing. Susie's has 60+ flavours of delightfully decadent cupcakes, and shortbread cookies, naturally.
