givenchy couture spring 2012
I have no idea where to begin apart from the mindbogglingly intricate details, which usually are the "norm" for Tisci-designed Givenchy Couture. for one, I'm completely obsessed with high/low aspect of the bejeweld gowns worn over workmen's tank tops. Another, the less-than-subtle nose rings (which I actually like!) and doorknocker-sized hoops are major statements waiting to be made. I'm thinking Lady Gaga will be purchasing a few.

A very delicate collection femininity. Models fluttered down the runway in diaphanous gowns of organza, lace and filigree. The collection recalled the romanticism of "Marie Antoinette role-playing in her little farm on the grounds of Versailles" but of course many possessed a casual twist with long sleeves, high necklines and pockets. My favorite gown is one that incorporated all three of these details in a beautifully simple ivory.
