New York, New York

I'm heading to one of my favorite cities in the world in April.. New York!! (Did the title give it away?) I'm already being a total planning nerd and looking at places to shop and eat! (I do this for every single trip I take).

So far there are the obvious choices (for me, anyway) : Zara, Urban Outfitters, J. Crew, Steve Madden, H&M (Matthew Williamson's line débuts the DAY I arrive!!) and Topshop (America's first flagship store opens in Soho on April 2!!). Then there are the less-than-obvious choices, the vintage stores. Halifax has an unfortunate number of vintage stores, and I seem to have the worst luck in discovering pieces worth the treck and dry-cleaning fees.

New York City, on the other hand, has a plethora of vintage shops with hidden gems just waiting to be unearthed. I will only be in the city for 4 days and this fact alone makes it difficult to select which shops merit a visit. This is where my nerdy research skills come in handy!

I based my picks on positive customer reviews, prices, reputation, and location (as I won't be venturing outside of Manhattan). Here are my picks (soo excited to check these out!):
1. Screaming Mimi's, 382 Lafayette St.
2. Daha Vintage, 175 Orchard St. Frnt
3. Zachary's Smile, 9 Greenwich Ave.
4. Fox & Fawn, 112 Suffolk St.

All of these shops are located downtown (LES, Soho, etc.) so a full day will have to be devoted to these neighborhoods!
