reed krakoff pre-fall 2011

In the two seasons that Reed Krakoff's eponymous line has graced fashion week runways (four if you count resort and pre-fall) he has yet to disappoint (me, anyway). The minimalist aesthetic feels fresh and sleek. Monochromatic looks in blacks, greys and camels (this fall's signature hue) peppered the collection as well as beautiful body-grazing chiffon pieces. A standout piece for me (and I'm sure you'll concede) is the amazing burnished python wrap skirt, paired with a nude silk blouse; the "hard and soft" look as Krakoff puts it.
